XSEED Games have announced that their latest horror adventure title for the PSP, Corpse Party, is now available for download on PlayStation Network at the terrifyingly affordable price of $19.99!
Developed in Japan by Team GrisGris and later adapted for the PSP system by 5pb, Corpse Party is a chilling title that takes players on a journey of hellish proportions. In Corpse Party, players take control of a group of Japanese high school students who engage in a pagan ritual and find themselves somehow transported into an inescapable echo of a long-since demolished school building where a series of gruesome murders once took place. They must now escape the grasp of the tortured souls who roam the halls of the doomed Heavenly Host Elementary School, lest they join the ranks of the dead themselves.
Corpse Party is presented using crisp 2D sprite graphics in a classic 16-bit style, amplified by shockingly horrific hand-drawn anime-style art stills. 3D audio is mixed with morbidly descriptive text, allowing players’ minds to wander and providing a truly engrossing horror experience.
Put on a pair of headphones and Corpse Party becomes even more terrifying, with creepy background noises and voices of the deceased speaking right into your ears. Read more about Corpse Party after the jump and check out some screenshots!

Konami have released several new screenshots for Pro Evolution Soccer 2012. Coming soon to the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PC, Playstation 3, Playstation 2 and Playstation Portable!
To this end, PES 2012 continues KONAMI’s determination to work with fans of both the PES series and football in general, to create a truly realistic, immersive and utterly playable take on the modern game. Thus, the focus in PES 2012 is the instinctive way the game can be played and on teamwork in particular. Seabass and his Tokyo team have worked to recreate the very essence of top-level football, ensuring the new game’s AI engine has undergone a major overhaul and provide an experience akin to being part of a real team.
Attacking play is a cornerstone of PES 2012, and the new game benefits from a more open approach that allows users to dictate the pace of movement, with all-new AI elements incorporated so team mates make runs and offer support in one-on-one situations. Players make useful dummy runs to draw defenders, and this offers users greater options to move the ball around when they are being closed down. Thus, the team works together a more cohesive unit, reacting to the movements of the player with the ball, and working to force the opposing team into mistakes.

Most gamers remember Final Fantasy IV as one of the first 90s era RPG games they played. It wasn’t the first to introduce a great well told plot and meaningful characters, but it’s definitely one of the games that helped make the RPG genre more well known for consoles and is historically significant for that reason. Even to this day, people still play it, and with that in mind Square-Enix has released another remake titled Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection, this one returning to the use of 2D sprites instead of a 3D approach.
But what makes this release interesting is that it includes not only the original FFIV, but also its sequel “The After Years” as well as a short chapter to bridge them, “Interlude”, all in one product. Together, they tell a Tolkien-esque fantasy tale of knights and wizards, heroism and romance, overcoming one’s flaws, and making the world a better place. It’s a story that has stood the test of time mostly intact, and well worth experiencing even today.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy was one of the closest titles to a perfect fanservice game to come out in quite a while, given that most series don’t boast such a large amount of entries with an all new cast of characters. However, while the service may have been good, the gameplay mechanics were far from perfect, and what could have been a top-notch game to go with such a great fanservice didn’t quite reach its full potential.
That’s where Dissidia Duodecim comes in, a sequel of sorts that expands upon the game’s core elements and improves most of the issues from with its precursor. Although there are a couple of new issues that might put some people off.
